1. Barack Obama ( Democrat)
Obama is so cool. His voice has power. Even if his parents divorced when he was 2, this did not make him discouraged. He studied in Columbia University with scholarships majoring in International Relations. After greduation, he worked for society. Obama is really strong while he looks polite.
His policies are Health Care for uninsured children , Welfare, and Tax Deduction for low-income workers etc.
He promises to protect weapons from terrorists and regain American leadership over the world. He also mentions that using alternative energy is important.

1. Fiscal discipline, 2. security of society, 3. to reduce crime in half, 4. security of schools, 5. to cut taxes 23 times, 6. to cut walfare in half.
3. Bill Richarson (Democrat)
Richarson is the best Governor. And he has more international experience than any other candidate in 2008 election.

1. Tax Cut, 2. To create over 80,000 new jobs
4. John Edwards (Democrat)
He mentions "Now we have two Americas(lower class / upper class). And it's time to be one as middle class"

It has been very good and valuable for us to listen to the 2008 presidential candidates. I learn lots of issues that the candidates proclaim.

becoming more interesting (Seminary class)
Every student reads the text book by several phrases. At the first time, I could not follow their reading, but I can now follow them and I can also read and understand the text as fast as they can. It was really good experiences.
Interview with American UT students
Jun and I had interviews with several American UT students regarding 2008 presidential election. They said that they have been already registered. They were interested in candidates’ policies about health problems, environment issues, immigration and Iraq war. One student said that he was going to vote Obama because he really liked Obama’s policies. Another student told that US should be somewhat different from what Bush has pursued. Two students were supposed to to follow their family’s opinions because they did not know candidates better than their parents.
This opportunity to have an interview was really interesting to us. Thank you Rachelle!

Lecture for ministry
The professor, Dr. Louis Zbinden has been known as the greatest pastor in Texas. I am very glad to have this opportunity to audit this class.
Zbinden very strongly recommended three books: Ministry Loves Company by John Galloway Jr., Pastor - The Theology and Practice of Ordained Ministy by William H. Willimon, and The Competent Pastor by Ronald Sisk. He also recommanded two more books: People of the Lie by Scott Peck and Naming the Power by Water Wink.
Today we discussed about the book, Ministry Loves Company. every student prepared the summary for 1 or 2 chapters. I was asked about the situations of the Korean seminay and congregation whether pastors and professors are conservative. In fact, the senior pastors in Korean churches are apt to like to control the assistant pastors.
Anyway, se discussed 21 chapters in 3 hours.
